What a hair transplant result looks like over time

Typical timeline — individual progress varies
  1. Weeks 2–6Shedding phase

Transplanted hairs shed; roots stay in place.

  2. Months 3–4First growth

Fine new hairs begin to appear.

  3. Months 6–9Visible density

    Clear improvement; hair thickens.

  4. Months 12–15Final result

    Mature density assessed and photographed.

Results shown are of individual patients who consented to share their photographs. Outcomes vary from person to person depending on hair characteristics, skin type, the extent of the condition and adherence to aftercare. Images are unedited apart from cropping and are not a guarantee of any specific result.

How We Photograph Results

Comparison photographs are only meaningful when they are taken the same way. Our before and after images are captured with the same camera, distance, angle and lighting, with hair styled similarly and without filters. Hair transplant results are typically photographed at 6 and 12 months; skin results at the end of a treatment course.

Read the Results in Context

Every result reflects that patient's starting point, donor supply, skin type and adherence to aftercare. Use these images to understand what a natural outcome looks like — not as a promise of your own result. Your doctor will discuss realistic expectations for your case at consultation.
